Disliked: Welcomed by a rude member of staff spoilt the stay.Room was a deluxe double but the room was very small. Noise from broken taps through the night.Bar area was always quite or empty the bearded man behind the bar was miserable. Had to book a time slot for breakfast not what you want on a weekend break.Weekend was ruined

Excellent - will return!

Liked: Food excellent, well presented, speedy but not rushed service. Check in and out very smooth, free car park a bonus. Excellent attentive, polite and efficient staff - a credit to the hotel.
Disliked: Room very warm, but bearing in mind the very hot weather unavoidable really.

Highly recommend this place-it’s wonderful

Liked: In a fantastic location close to everything.The rooms were comfortable and clean with luxury top named bathroom products the staff were so nice and the food beautiful.We decided to stay an extra night and they were very accommodating.For a hotel we found the drinks and food a good price.Old and quirky and the rooms quiet from other guests would highly recommend it’s all so lovely pretty and nice.Close to the local bus drop off,shops,amenities,restaurants and pubs.Thank you black swan for a lovely stay and to everyone that was so friendly and helpful j during our stay. 11 out of 10 score

Good place to stay for...

Liked: Lovely place to stay, good location to visit the coast and moors.The room was clean and functional with a comfortable bed.The owners and staff are very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.Food was well presented and plentiful although the kitchen isn't open every evening due to staff shortages but there are plenty of restaurants in the town
Disliked: Being an old coaching inn there isn't a lift and the stairs are many.

Liked: Fantastic location right in middle of town. Breakfast and service in the restaurant were excellent.The hotel lounge and bar area was very stylish,it was obvious that a lot of thought had gone into it's design.Super room and the Aircon was a great relief due to the higher temperatures during our visit
