Exceptional

Lovely hotel, very comfortable, amazing...

Liked: The property, and the room itself was beautiful, and the facilities were fantastic with a lovely comfy bed. The on-site restaurant was incredible, and could not rate this high enough, both in terms of the aesthetics, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, and the quality of the food.
Disliked: I paid a good deal extra for a 'superior' room, but don't feel that the room was of a superior quality. It was quite small still, and only had a mediocre view over Bath (being a ground floor room), so paying extra for a larger room and a better view seemed a waste, and I was disappointed with this aspect. Also, when checking in, we were informed that breakfast was included in the price. However, then when checking out we were charged and an extra invoice raised for the breakfasts we had. This just left a bad taste in the mouth, when the rest of the hotel experience had been really good. Communication should be a lot clearer as to what is included, and what will be paid for. Car parking fees were also not mentioned by any member of staff until checkout, when fees were added to the invoice. This is stated on the website, but should be clearly communicated on check-in. This just ruined the stay a little, and left us feeling a little down when leaving such a nice place.

Luxury in a quirky setting.

Liked: The hotel was quirky, welcoming and the personal touches went a long way - made us feel special and welcomed. Staff were very friendly and professional. Quality of food and drinks 100% to our liking and the Dyson hair dryer and luxurious toiletries in the room were a welcomed treat.
Disliked: Waiting time for drinks at the bar. 40 mins to get 2 drinks - orders were taken at the table, we found larger groups were looked after much better/quicker than the tables for 2. We weren't acknowledged which was frustrating.

Bath is a beautiful city...

Liked: Location, the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness.
Disliked: The lack of wardrobe and draw space. The room was very compact

Brilliant location for a visit...

Liked: The room was comfortable and quirky. The hot tub was an added bonus with fluffy robes and towels to use. The staff gave impeccable service, helpful in every way.
Disliked: That we couldn?t dine in the outside dome!

Excellent boutique hotel, ideal for...

Liked: Great boutique hotel and a little different to chain hotels. Would definitely visit again.
Disliked: Only slight issue is parking space, the staff kindly found us a parking spot but was a little tight.
