The Spotlight on The Bingham Townhouse

Charming Comfort in the Heart of Bingham

Modern convenience meets countryside charm at The Bingham Townhouse, a warm and inviting hotel set in the scenic Vale of Belvoir. Just a 5-minute walk from Bingham Railway Station, this privately run spot offers cozy rooms, an on-site restaurant and bar, and free private parking—perfect for travelers who want a relaxed base with easy access to nearby music venues in Leicester and Nottingham.

Why Concert-goers love it

With Bingham Station just around the corner, catching a train to Leicester’s top music venues is a breeze. After a high-energy show, guests appreciate the quiet, residential setting for a restful night. The hotel’s flexible 2:00 PM check-in means you can arrive and freshen up before heading out, and the 11:00 AM check-out gives you time to sleep in after a late night. Plus, free parking means road-trippers are covered too.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends looking for an affordable and stylish base
Solo travelers chasing a bucket-list gig
Couples planning a romantic music weekend
Fans wanting to relax in a quieter spot post-concert
Budget-conscious music lovers who still want comfort and charm

Food and Drink Options

The on-site restaurant serves up comforting meals without needing to leave the building—a definite plus after a long night. The bar is right there too, ideal for a nightcap or pre-show drink. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the staff are attentive and the local area offers several walkable eateries. Breakfast is available, so you can refuel before heading home.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself stays chill after dark, it’s a short ride to buzzing nightlife in nearby cities. Whether you’re into cozy pubs or vibrant clubs, you’re not far from the action. Prefer to wind down? The hotel bar is the perfect spot for a relaxed drink with friends.

What People Say

Guests love the friendly staff, super clean rooms, and peaceful atmosphere. Many mention the convenience of the location, especially being close to the train station. The on-site restaurant is a highlight, with several reviews praising both the food and service.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that the hotel is more traditional than modern, so if you're after ultra-sleek interiors, this might not be your vibe. Also, while the quiet location is a bonus for many, night owls might find it a bit tame post-concert.

The Bottom Line

The Bingham Townhouse is a peaceful, well-located hideaway that's ideal for concert-goers who want a comfy base with easy transit access and a touch of countryside charm.

Pleasant

Liked: Staff were excellent. Breakfast was very good. Room was well equipped.
Disliked: Room was small. Restaurant was closed on a Monday (The night we stayed). Our room had a flashing Belisha Beacon immediately outside our window and the window blind did not solve the issue.

A great find in a...

Liked: The hotel is part of a lovely restaurant / bar. There is a free car park, it's very convenient for the town centre which also has a train station and plenty of bars and shops. The staff are a huge asset to the hotel. They were all extremely welcoming and ensured that everything was tomout satisfaction. That is apart from the night porter or whatever title he holds. We found that on entering the hotel in the evening and passing within a foot of his desk, he didn't have the courtesy to respond to a hello or even look up. I assumed he hadn't heard me or was tied up, but it happened a second time to me and also to my wife. That is a real shame because guests might not have had the benefit of the superb service from the daytime staff and regard the hotel on solely his lack of interaction. The rooms are clean, and although slightly dated, the hotel appears to be going through a refresh. This work didn't intrude on our stay in any way and is only mentioned as the owners are maintaining the property. A nice touch was water coolers provided on each floor and jugs provided to the rooms. The selection of hot drinks had been given thought and would satisfy most guests. The breakfast offering was excellent. From Danish pastries to full English breakfasts, including cereals, fruit salad, and everything in-between. The quality of the ingredients was clear as the sausage and bacon were clearly butcher bought and very nice.At the fantastic price, proximity to Nottingham, but in a semi rural setting, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel.Thank you to all the staff (apart from the night porter) for a lovely stay and looking after my family.
Disliked: The night porter.
