Liked: Friendly staff. On site Chinese restaurant and bar. Central location close to main road routes. Handy for local shops. Excellent food at breakfast time, very good choices. We both loved the comfy bed and had an excellent night's sleep. We love the quirky rooms at the hotel, and we will be back again.
Disliked: Having to bend down a bit to avoid banging our heads on the sloping ceiling in the room and bathroom. There were no drawers to put stuff in, and there were not really many surfaces to put stuff on, but we thought that was maybe due to only being there for 1 night. I wouldn't have wanted to stay in that particular room for any more than 1 night as I like to unpack and not keep going into my case for stuff that I need.

Birthday treat

Liked: Beautiful area and the restaurant had amazing Chinese food, all you can eat on a Sunday was an amazing treat for my husbands birthday & a free cocktail for the birthday boy

Would recommend.

Liked: Friendly and helpful staff. One lad moved two cars to make room for ours. The lady in the breakfast room was polite and friendly. Striking decor. Close to a great pub the Wheatchief which did fine food and had a great atmosphere. Breakfast pleasant. There is a Chinese restaurant on-site which has good reviews but we had no time to try.
Disliked: Sofa bed for family member not that comfortable.
