Full marks looking forward to...

Liked: The property was very clean and packed with old English charm and character. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. There was ample car parking on Site. The food was delicious, with plenty to choose from. The portions were sufficient but not large and the price was on the high side.

Liked: EXCELLENT..A WONDERFUL CHOICE OF FOOD AND VERY BIG SERVINGS. FOOD SERVED PIPINGHOT WHEN REQUIRED. Servicw was prompt and servwes very friendly and obliging.

A relaxing weekend in superb...

Liked: Excellent accommodation in a beautiful old building surrounded by amazing countryside. Excellent dinner, and superb beers served in a relaxed environment.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Cute, period property. Very big, comfortable bed. Amazing shower and free-standing bath! Every member of staff was very friendly. The fan we requested in the room seemed new and was quite high tech. The room was big and well-decorated (room 10)
Disliked: Location wise there’s nothing going on locally, but that didn’t bother us too much. A bit loud when traffic goes by, but it’s not a particularly busy road.

Liked: The breakfast was nice.
Disliked: We booked this hotel because it said pet friendly on Booking.com and a review said that there was no charge for their dog. But when we got an email from them to check in, I found in the small print that ‘they may charge for the dog’? When I tried to cancel they said I couldn’t because it’s less (slightly) than 48 hours? We really don’t like being deceived or mislead to gain our business! The hotel must read their reviews and they made no attempt to remove the review regarding the dog knowing full well that it would attract bookings. We can’t comment on the food in the evenings that we were looking forward to because there’s no way we were going to give them anymore money after they deceived us. Lavenham is only 11 minutes away and there’s plenty of places to eat there. Before you book this place if you have a dog, there are plenty of other hotels in Suffolk who are pet friendly and don’t charge.
