Good, but for a short...
Liked: Location was great, 2 minutes walk to bus stops. The bed was really comfortable. Welcoming gifts such as fruit or sherry were a nice touch. Nice selection of teas. My room was on the 3rd floor, so I heard some noise from the restaurant, but it wasn't bad. The room and the bathroom were clean. Elemis products in the bathroom were great (pity that the shower gel was diluted...).
Disliked: The single room is really tiny. It looked a little bit tired, such as the bathroom. The bathroom should be refurbished, especially the tiles. The walls are paper thin, so I heard a barking dog from a room next to mine and was woken up by a sneezing man a few times... Not to mention very loud lift and doors.

Good
Liked: Staff were very helpful and their response to issues created by other inconsiderate guests very positive.
Disliked: Think we could have been given a quieter room as promised.

Liked: The room was small but 'perfectly formed' I liked the little extras of a glass of sherry and fresh fruit and good to see real coffee and fresh milk.
Disliked: Nothing really other than areas a bit 'tired' but understand the hotel is in the process of a refurbishmant.

I do business in Bristol...
Liked: The room was comfortable.
Disliked: I had 2 beers during my nights stay which had to be served in the hotel lounge as there was a private function on in the restaurant. 1 pint was 7.10 and they ten added a service charge of 86p to bring it me ! The cost of the beer was too expensive and I don’t care about 86p but fact they felt it appropriate to rip me off is appalling.

Overall it was a nice...
Liked: Quiet, boutique hotel, off the main road and yet near the park, and variety of restaurants.Room was clean, bed was comfortable and loose leaf tea and complimentary glass of sherry and fruit, which was a nice touchPrivate garage available for parking short distance away.
Disliked: TV did not work and I had to ask for the maintenance man to come and fix it which involved changing the cable. This should have been checked beforehand..The heating was on full blast and could not be regulated overnight, so the room became very hot at night. The fire alarm rang 3 times early in the morning around 7.15 to 7.30, waking me up rudelyThe breakfast option of the granola pots had run out by 7.30 and it was only after I questioned why they could not make more especially since I was not having a hot breakfast, did they make some more and made them available. In the morning I could not find my key to the garage and was told it would cost me £30 approximately as a fine, which is rather stiff at almost 20% of the cost of the stay. Thankfully I did find it.
