The Berkeley Hotel

It's not to me to say customer service is dead. But the lady who checked us in on Saturday afternoon obviously should have another job or be held accountable for her lack of customer service. I've long believed customer service is dead and unfortunately the stay here did not help. Only issue I had was our room on the six floor had very loud partying floor mates. Not in your control. It was clear that my girlfriend and I would not be getting sleep with these party goers - I tried around 7 o'clock to get another room but was properly shut down by this woman - 'no way possible, you will just be put in another area where you'll be next to someone else. I will go talk to them'. That didn't seem like a logical conclusion so we went out, got dinner, came back by 10 and the partygoers were still at it, loud out on the balcony and I called our lady again. After much resistance to change our rooms to any room for that matter and I didn't care if we were going to be next to another person I didn't wanna be next to party goers, she permitted the change. It shouldn't be this difficult to get a customer service experience when we are at the center of the experience but sadly we're all left to feel like we're inconveniencing you all. I know times are tough but am I correct to assume you're supposed to be in a way taking care of us?

Disliked: Walls are paper thin. The rooms are extremely outdated. The bed was not befitting of a hotel with this reputation.

Nice place generally, but uncomfortable...

Liked: Conveniently located.
Disliked: The hotel restaurant service for Saturday breakfast was very slow. And the menu we were given at the table was not the same one posted outside the restaurant. The menu we were given only offered breakfast entrees for $18. And as mentioned the service was ridiculously slow. We ended up leaving after finally being given our coffee but no creams and sugars. Then when the incompetent server finally brought us the creams and sugars, we did not have any silverware to stir the coffees. So out we went. Additionally, the bed was not very comfortable
