Disliked: Everything was great.Could be a slice less expensive but at the end of the day it’s everything you ask for!

Great location, spacious rooms, attentive...

Liked: Excellent location, spacious rooms, attentive staff.
Disliked: Cleanliness - pills left on floor from previous guests as well as rubbish left in cupboard. Old towels and not enough for entire family, no cups for hot drinks or kettle. (Please Note that the cleaner that we had for the last two days of our stay was outstanding - wish we had have had her upon arrival - special thanks to this lovely lady).

Great location in the middle...

Liked: Excellent location in Midtown Manhattan, close to everything. Subway lines E and 6 are literally around the corner, making it very easy to get around.Loved the rooms, they were comfortable, well equipped and had that distinctive NYC vibe. Hotel staff was very friendly, attentive and happy to help whenever asked. Definitely recommended for a great stay in the middle of NYC!

Pure excellence

Liked: We had the warmest welcome at this lovely hotel. The staff were incredible and bent over backwards to ensure we had the most memorable of stays.It was our first trip to NYC and it was a special occasion celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary. We were made to feel very special and we can’t wait to return to the hotel hopefully one day in the not too distant future! Thank you to everyone who made our stay so wonderful.

Liked: We had a great stay at The Benjamin Royal Sonesta. The room was large, perfect for a family of 4 and newly refurbished. The location was very central and close to the subway to travel all over NYC. The staff were very helpful and accommodating.
Disliked: Our only complaint was that it was very noisy. The hotel is located on the street parallel to a fire and police station. So on top of the usual car and pedestrian noise expected in downtown NYC there were constant emergency service vehicle noises all night which made it difficult to sleep. The staff were very understanding when I discussed our inability to sleep with them and they moved us from the 10th to 17th floor to try and minimise the noise and it did help somewhat and we got better rest for the remaining nights but just something to consider if you are a light or sensitive sleeper!
