The peaceful surroundings make it easy to wind down after a show, and with free private parking and flexible check-in from 3:00 PM, it's easy to arrive at your own pace. Plus, with free WiFi and a relaxed vibe, it's perfect for uploading gig pics or planning your next setlist.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for a low-key base between gigs and Highland adventures
- Solo travelers on a music pilgrimage with a side of nature
- Couples making a weekend of it with a scenic escape and a concert night
- Fans wanting a quieter post-concert recovery space away from the crowds
- Budget-conscious music fans who'd rather spend on tickets than a room

Food and Drink Options

The on-site restaurant serves up hearty, traditional meals, and a Full English/Irish breakfast is available every morning—perfect after a late night out. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the hotel’s lounge bar offers a relaxed spot for a nightcap. For more variety, local cafés and pubs are just steps away on High Street.

Nightlife Options

The Ben Mhor Bar has a local pub feel, ideal for a pre-gig pint or a chill evening in. While it’s not a party hub, nearby spots in Grantown offer traditional pub music and Scottish hospitality. For those heading to bigger venues in Inverness, it’s an easy drive or taxi ride back.

What People Say

Guests love the value for money, the friendly staff, and the central location in Grantown. Many reviews praise the comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast, and the laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. It’s especially appreciated by travelers looking for a clean, cozy spot that doesn’t break the bank.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the decor is a bit dated, and soundproofing between rooms could be better—though the quiet town setting helps keep things tranquil overall. Rooms are simple, so don’t expect luxury, but everything you need is there.

The Bottom Line

A budget-friendly and welcoming base for concert-goers exploring the Highlands, with all the essentials for a restful night after the music fades.

Liked: The staff were excellent, going above and beyond to meet my needs during my stay. They also helped me with accessing local services for minor emergencies during my stay, which made my overall trip as a lone traveller so much easier. Genuinely some of the most welcoming and helpful hotel staff I've met, and a real credit to the hotel. Beds were comfortable, rooms clean and quiet. Shower was hot and water pressure was great.
Disliked: The room felt a little tired, and could do with a few touch ups to paintwork. The number was missing on the door, so at first I wasn't even sure where my room was. TV only worked through manually switching on at unit, so remote needs replacing. Front door to building was very heavy and tricky to get through with bags or cases. Overall though, these were minor issues and are things the venue could easily improve to give customers best value for money, but they didn't impact my overall stay.

Excellent no frills economy hotel

Liked: Excellent Value for money in a central area of the town. Breakfast was an additional cost of £10 but it was huge and worth every penny
