A great stay!

Liked: The room was clean and well stocked with towels, pillows, and blankets. Our plan was to use public transportation so we wouldn't have to worry about parking. The bus stop is right outside the hotel, which was perfect and I didn't worry about my car because it was in a gated lot. Also, I didn't have to keep up with a room key or card. That was great.
Disliked: We did miss having a microwave to heat up our leftovers from the great restaurants, and there is no ice machine.

My worst ever experience after...

Disliked: I received a mail to pay $50 deposit day prior to arrival and immediatedly paid via the mail link. On arrival I still have not received the pin to get into the gate. It is a lie that there is reception from 3pm to 6pm. The provided phone was not answered. I was stuck in the street with nowhere to go. Then luckily the janitor showed up and was shown my credit card confirmed deposit payment. He phoned someone that forced me to again pay the deposit. Both deposits were later returned.

Good value-for-money low-budget motel in...

Liked: The Motel room was indeed a good value-for-money alternative for comparably low budget. Rental car parking was possible directly in front of the room door, a two-way PIN system secured touchless check-in. The room provided a normal size fridge, which was a great add-on.
Disliked: Bathtub and toilet could have been a bit more generally clean and modernized, in particular the immovable shower head imposed some challenge. Apart from the interior, the location of the motel room was in an outskirt of New Orleans, which became a bit dark and insecure at night when walking home from the city center. As a future advice, it could be highlighted more clearly that the car parking possiblities are good for traveling from/to the city, but there is also a 2min-away bus-stop and a 10min-away tram station in order to navigate to the city centre via public transport.
