Liked: The hotel, room and food was great, as were the staff.
Disliked: If it was my hotel I would update toilet seats. The one in room 25 is showing its age.

Comfortable accommodation in a historic...

Liked: Beautifully renovated, keeping the quirks of the old building but with modern comforts. Dinner in the restaurant was very good. I also enjoyed reading the brief history of the building that was provided in our room.

Historic building in convenient location....

Liked: We loved the building. Comfortable tastefully decorated room. exceptionally clean. Nice outside space for enjoying a drink. Excellent breakfast. Staff professional and friendly. Conveniently located off A1
Disliked: restaurant not open on our night of stay so used the Bistro which was clearly understaffed and lacked ambience. Pleasant bar but all tables were reserved so thankfully it was a nice evening so we could sit outside for pre dinner drinks.

Lived up to expectations. Mostly.

Liked: Very good breakfast and an excellent dinner. Polite and attentive staff. The room was fine. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
Disliked: I had two glasses of wine. Neither was very good. Shame. I arrived a little after 2pm but couldn't check in till 3pm. That was a bit disappointing.
