Very good

A value for money hotel

Liked: Functional without frills. Old fashioned travel hotel. Good breakfast.
Disliked: Steep stairs but to be expected in a hotel of this age

We would not return to...

Liked: The stall was friendly the bedroom was clean and the bed was comfortable - plenty of tea coffee milk in the room.
Disliked: The bathroom taps and floor could have done with an extra clean. The pillows was really hard - We did not like the dinning room it really needs a revamp - The egg Benedict was terrible so was the vegetarian breakfast we could not eat it. The tea and coffee was weak and cold no hot water.

Lovely stay

Liked: Friendly staff, room was big and nice. Bathroom was lovely. Nothing too much trouble. Great value for money. Will be back soon for another stay.

Exceptional

Liked: The hotel is situated in a lovely town center... room was enough for me and my friend.. we would like to thank 1 member of staff for her warm welcome and her outstanding customer service ... Gemma went above and beyond for us when stayed we will definitely be back just to see her .. breakfast was lovely also definitely reccomend the full English breakfast! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff either very polite thank you for an enjoyable stay

Passable

Liked: The location was very good. In the centre of the town.
Disliked: The kitchen was closed. So couldn't have a evening meal. The booking did not say this before booking. The breakfast was below average. I would say with confidence it was just heated up in a microwave.

Yep, I'd stay again

Liked: Decent hotel in a good location, the bar area had us scared as it was quite dated but the room was big, clean and comfortable and staff were helpful and friendly.
Disliked: Parking was a bit annoying as it's a five min walk away but everything else was fine
