Pleasant

Liked: The people working in the hotel are very friendly. The continental breakfast was good, and the location is great. The nearest tube station is a 5 min walk away, and a bus a min walk that goes stops beside Big Ben.
Disliked: Description mentions a rainfall shower, but it was just a normal shower head. The WiFi connection was very poor in my room. It was a struggle to connect. The blackout curtains were not fitted well, defeating their purpose as light flooded the room in the mornings. The bathroom window is a clear window with high-rise buildings overlooking, meaning you need to close the blinds when in the shower.

Great would go back.

Liked: It was cozy, smart and clean. located close to the theatres in Victoria and Buckingham palace and other local sites and attractions. There was a lot of places to eat and drink near by and the staff were welcoming and friendly. It wasn’t too big or too small and breakfast was lovely, very good value and if the continental breakfast was included in the room you could upgrade to any option on the al a crate Menu for just £6 including a full English.
Disliked: It was smart clean and well maintained, all your basic expectations were well met and rooms were nice and a reasonable size. Shower was outstanding. Nice welcoming entrance area.

Great location, cozy room with...

Liked: I stayed for 8 nights so one would think I can give a proper review but honestly, I saw very little from the hotel apart from my room (103) which was a good size for one person, maybe even a couple (unfortunately with downright terrible view). I loved the bathroom, it was roomy with great shower, which I much prefer to a bath. The bed, a bit softer that I'm used to, was quite comfy and I had several great night sleeps. I want to highlight the cleaning services of the place, I was super happy with them, the room and the bathroom were spotlessly cleaned every day. I had very little interaction with other staff, just polite smiles and greetings while leaving and coming back.
Disliked: Anyone who mentions noise in their review gets response from the hotel about guests that need to be more considerate because the building is old. Well, they would have to be able to fly, otherwise the noise from the creaking floor simply cannot be avoided. Staying in the room, that is actually on the lower ground floor (it has daylight, it's just several steps down from the ground level) I had the pleasure to enjoy all kinds of noises other than the people above me. It went from water splashing through the pipes at all times, to weird AC sounds (not sure it was AC actually, as that was turned off the whole time) After the first day where I got startled at every new noise, I got used to them and it didn't bother me that much, but I can see why that is the one thing people keep bringing up.As I said, the location of the particular room is not the best, it offers no view and you have to keep the blinds closed at all times, because there are offices (or whatever) very close and people can see inside the room. The size of the room and the fact I didn't have to use the lift were a bit of a compensation but I cannot say I wasn't hoping for a better view for my 8-night stay.

I will always stay here...

Liked: Lovely small boutique style Hotel.
Disliked: Having stayed previously as a couple, I returned as a solo guest with a couple in another room. The couples room has lovely little extras, Nespresso machine, extra toiletries, slippers etc, the single room had sachets of coffee and a kettle, basic toiletries and no slippers, even though the room cost was only slightly less than the double.
