Passable

Disappointing

Liked: Staff very friendly. Breakfast caters well for the big crowds of golfers and convention people.
Disliked: The rooms are ok if a little tired. There is no air conditioning despite charging circa £200 plus per room. Only a small circular Dyson fan which doesn't do much even on 10. The windows only open 6 inches with restrictors and then the staff start driving round at 5am or before in buggies with engines (you think they would use electric ones to keep the noise down) and other deliveries so the window then needs closing.

Disliked: Room location noisey builders work going on and wasn't told booked a terrace room couldn't use the terrace because of the noise

Disliked: No air conditioning - difficult to sleep

Amazing staff, beautiful grounds and...

Liked: The food options were good. Staff were delightful, friendly and always helpful
Disliked: The discretionary tip, this should be for me as the customer to decide. If I don't want to tip, I feel having to ask to remove this is awkward and unnecessary!Our room was unbearably hot and actually detracted from the whole stay. We were looking forward to leaving for this reason only. Not having A/C or suitable fans in rooms in this day and age is totally unacceptable particularly given the calibre of hotel and price. I travel frequently and haven't experienced this in years even in older hotel or more basic options.

Exceptional

Cracking venue for business or...

Liked: The room was a good size & very comfy.Even though the temperatures outside were very hot my room was cool, the Dyson fan worked well, & I slept very well.Bathroom was clean & shower was a nice size & water temperature easy to adjust.The Brabazon was a top golf course, but too long & tough for a casual golfer like me now.Nice bar areas & polite staff
Disliked: Couldn't fault it.Wish I would have had time to use the spa & pool area

Very disappointed after expecting so...

Disliked: There was a group of rats just outside my bedroom. If my wife had seen them she would have been very traumatised. I did inform the staff and management but never heard anything from them

Liked: They allowed us to check in early and breakfast was good
Disliked: The directions to the room could have been clearer
