Passable

Liked: Rooms were a nice size but lacked tlc. The bathroom was ok but the showers could do with being descaled the lighting could do with being looked at and the small side lights are not the greatest.
Disliked: Lack of air conditioning and the condition of the fans in the room.

Room on a hot day...

Liked: The staff were great as was the breakfast and the location was right by a bus stop and a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest tram stop.
Disliked: I was aware the hotel didn't have air conditioning, but what I did not know until I got to the room on a boiling hot day, that the window of my room was fixed and does not open. The only window that opened was a small one in the bathroom, but without a through-breeze having this open and the bathroom door open was not doing anything other than cooling the bathroom. The provided fan, no matter where positioned was simply blowing around hot air. I managed to sleep for maybe an hour. It was an extremely hot and humid day. I spent 3 hours in the middle of the night sitting on the bathroom floor where it was coolest. I do think the rooms where the windows don't open should have wall-mounted air conditioning because it was unbearable. If it wasn't for the fact I needed to be in Nottingham the next day, I'd have checked out and driven home. Sadly, not what you want for £90+ per night.
