We alerted reception to our...
Liked: We chose the property for its location for our family to be together for our wedding close by. Great location and quiet cul de sac. Street parking overnight and weekends. Air con was good in the hot weather.
Disliked: Our rooms and the stairwell were very tired and dusty with a weird cat smell, I was worried my wedding dress would get dirty and smell. The lift was very old, too small to fit my dress so I had to walk down 3 flights of stairs. The folding lift gate was very Titanic era, not very safe for toddler arms. Also pretty terrifying in a small carpeted hot and closed wooden box. We didn’t realise there were no breakfast facilities, an oversight on our part as we thought we would be able to eat together as a family party of 25. There is a lounge in the entrance but not private and too small for us all. Breakfast was also continental and extra on top delivered to room on request. The afternoon tea is at an awkward time so we never had chance to have it in our 4 days.

Overpriced for a very dated...
Liked: Good location, safe entry/exit, 24/7 concierge , massive bathroom
Disliked: Very dated hotel. The lift is very old and so slow it’s better to take the stairs. The shower is a bath/shower. Old carpets.

Unfortunately I was lured by...
Liked: The location of the hotel and its proximity to the Royal Albert Hall was convenient.
Disliked: I stayed at the Beaufort for two nights at a cost of £450 excluding breakfast. My bedroom was extremely dirty. Carpets were stained, shower drainage was blocked which meant I had to turn off the water several times during my shower to avoid flooding. Both the shower and the bathroom sink were beyond filthy. There was what can only be described as grime on the shower tiles, around the shower tray and along the shower door; this must have been accumulated over months. There was no evidence of any meaningful cleaning activities in the entire bedroom. The sink was unusable due to a combination of a severely rusted plug and dirt. On 20 June the night staff were particularly unprofessional. The individual in question sat in an anterior room to the guest lounge and played deafening music on his iPhone despite the fact that guests, including myself, were sitting in the lounge. When I complained to the receptionist at checkout I was offered no apology and handed a compliment slip with the email address of the Beaufort’s general manager. I would challenge the four-star rating for this hotel and urge caution to any prospective guests.

I was disappointed, and didn’t...
Liked: It was lovely location and clean
Disliked: I expected more from our bedroom, I could hear road noise and noise from upstairs. Also the bed was very hard and uncomfy and the pillows were not supportive.
