Lovely views

Liked: The location was lovely. And on first look was nice. The bedroom was lovely, and the bed was comfy. I'd asked for a fan and they kindly supplied one. Communication with the owner was quick and efficient.
Disliked: It was generally unclean and smelt strongly of dogs. Sadly, there were numerous dog hairs. The fridge had spills and crumbs in it. It just looked like maybe it had been missed and a good clean it would have been perfect.

Pleasant hotel with good food...

Liked: View. Dog friendly. Delicious meal. Helpful staff.
Disliked: The grounds are looking tired and uncared for. We stayed in a cottage. It looks lovely initially but things need fixing. We had no hot water in the morning as there was a problem with the boiler. The fridge needs defrosting and fixing.

Very dated, cramped, over priced...

Liked: The location is quite rural and scenic. The bar area was very pleasant - staff and locals. Lots of free parking spaces.
Disliked: The pictures on the website do no reflect what we experienced. Entrance not obvious, at the back of the building. Access to room was via steep stairs and the smell and signs of damp was overwhelming. The room itself had an old stylish bed but it was too big for the room. The radiator was very noisy and we needed to switch it off at night. The view from the window was obscured by roof tops. Most concerning was the bathroom, accessed on a lower mezzanine via steep steps with a single handle rail. The waste bin had not been emptied from the previous guests. This was over priced at £170 a night. We had dinner the one night we stayed. The breaded mushrooms although deep fried were still frozen in the middle. The caesar salad had deep fried breaded chicken which was quiet rubbery. Quantity over quality.
