Never again

Disliked: Shabby, beds uncomfortable, lighting in room poor/not working. Room next to outside kitchen extractor unit noisy until 8.30 and fan outside on and off all night.Beautiful old building in desperate need of investment so overall rather depressing.

A great hotel that needs...

Liked: Super staff, food, location and Wadworths beer. A wonderful historic place ❤️ Easy to find right in the middle of Devizes. We went for a lovely stroll down the Kennett and Avon canal past the Caen Hill locks a famous engineering feat. Despite a few niggles (see below) I certainly would recommend this place.
Disliked: Frankly the place was a little shabby. Our room although VERY clean had net curtains with a hole and the curtains were threadbare in places

Great character, great location

Liked: Lovely character bedroom with fireplace.Fine touches such as shower cap, tissues, hand and body lotion provided. Great location in the centre of Devizes.Good choices of breakfast.
Disliked: The mugs in the bedroom could be larger.

Liked: Excellent location. Nice room and breakfast was good. Not 5 star but excellent value for money.
Disliked: Shower could have been better/stronger
