Really nice pub with good...

Liked: Great beer gardens, fabulous breakfasts, good restaurant too. Staff very friendly and welcoming and found safe storage for our bikes.
Disliked: Very disappointed that Greene King had brought in a policy about charging e bikes in any of their establishments -,they should publish this and I hope you can alert other e bike users as it’s not possible to tour without recharging your bike, and it’s only about 20p to recharge a bike, unlike a car!

Comfortable, friendly and lovely hotel...

Liked: We arrived late evening after a 4 day hike. So we were tired and hungry. So accommodating with 5 minutes till kitchen closed the gentleman took our order so we would get some food, which they very kindly brought up to the room for us. Lovely building full of character, super friendly staff especially the young man behind the bar on Tuesday evening. The bed was comfortable, a bit noisy from road outside but that was to be expected. It was hot but there was a fan in the room. Breakfast was lovely. Good parking.
Disliked: The only niggle we have was cleanliness of the room. Hair all around floor by towel rail in bathroom, dusty window ledges, cobwebs and could see dust marks where it had been hoovered to. Also lack of housekeeping, we put our card out both days to have cleaned but it wasn’t done. Had to go down and ask for clean towels and milk. Then again later for toilet roll. These are the only things that let our stay down. But we would still book here again if we are in the area.

Disliked: Difficulty with stairs and outside balcony looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a long time with moss and cigarette ends

Liked: large room with decent facilities, staff welcoming and we had a good evening meal.
Disliked: the room was clean enough but there were areas around the old windows, etc that could do with a better annual clean.
