The Beach Retreat & Lodge at Tahoe

We had a wonderful visit. It was a short stay but our room was very nice, clean, and the view was awesome!

Liked: Awesome location! Loved being on the actual beach! Sunsets were incredible! Pool was fun and parking a breeze. Loved that we could walk to Freshies or Heidi’s in just a couple minutes.
Disliked: The elevator was tiny but it’s an older property so it’s understandable

I would definitely be back....

Liked: I thought the location was perfect. I wanted to get away for a couple days but didn’t want to be in the absolute chaos of Heavenly Village. This was a perfect spot. Very chill and right on the water. Great view of the sunset.
Disliked: The music played pretty late so I didn’t get to fall asleep with the windows open listening to the waves but I was also going to bed by 10pm. I feel like a good time with music is expected in the summer months so it wasn’t too bad.

Disliked: The staffs were very rude from the beginning of the stay. The brewed coffee in the lobby is not being refilled after 8am, even when asked for it. We had to wait more than an hour for breakfast in the restaurant. No microwave in room as well.

Liked: easy access to shopping, and grocery center and easy access to the beach.
Disliked: 1. when i made the reservation i made sure i put in my request that we stay at ground level because i have my medical baby with me. i called few hours few check in to confirm and the person who answered said they will just arrange it when we get there. when we got there and was checking in, i was told we were assigned to 3rd floor room and no notes on my reservation about my request. which is a big "what????" for me. at the end they found my request note on my reservation and was given the ground level room. 2. room doesn't look clean at all. 3. room is too small specially the bathroom. 4. when u shower the water automatically goes from warm to super hot. burn issue right there. thankfully my husband and son was able to quickly turn fhe shower off. 5. when vehicles are parked near ur room, you can smell the smoke coming in. 6. dont this hotel have a policy about smoking or drugs especially with kids around? we can smell marijuana from room. so was my $450 charge for the night acceptable or fair? NO. I can say their rate is way too much for what you will get.
