Good

Disliked: This motel has self-serve check-in which i have never experiences before. There is no staff at the location for any personal help. I did not like this and felt there is a lack of personal safety when there is no one to assist you especially when you are travelling alone. I would also expect to see a lower rate since I have to do my own check-in. If I had known that there was only self-serve check-in I would not have booked a room. Booking.com needs to make customers aware of this at the time of booking.

I appreciated everything about my...

Liked: Staff accommodated changes to arrival and departure times due to weather conditions. I was in town to watch my son and the Fort Frances Lakers, and the game schedule was postponed two days due to the weather conditions. Thank you for this! I will be back next season!
Disliked: The fridge was set too cold and I could not locate the dial to turn it down. Some of my drinks were starting to freeze.

Great spot, great location and...

Liked: The space was inviting and clean. Enjoyed having our own space to cook and relax. Would have been nice to have a couch in the room as well, just to have an extra spot to sit. We had a minor issue with our room, but the front desk staff were available and quick to rectify the situation, all through text - it was awesome.
Disliked: Out stay was for a few days, odd how or what was cleaned and checked on a daily basis.

Would definitely stay here again!

Liked: Check in with no staff is super easy! We even had an issue with getting our key (we didn’t get the passcode for the lockbox right away). Sent a text to the staff and within minutes everything was taken care of! View is great right on the water!
Disliked: Tried to get some ice for water cups right before checking out and the lobby was locked until check in - really no big deal though!
