Perfect stay within lovely location

Liked: We booked dinner aswell that was excellent the whole experience visiting this hotel was lovely. I had business nearby it was nice to just chill before this! We are greeted by a very happy man he kindly offered to take bags to our room as my friend was on crutches …would definitely return!!

Excellent hotel for stay near...

Liked: Very comfortable clean bedrooms/bathroom.Helpful staff.Great parking and convenient for shops etc
Disliked: Noise from main road

Liked: Nice pub with rooms and good food.
Disliked: Might sound a little nigly but the puddings were a little disappointing My eton mess was VERY creamy but light on the meringue.

A city centre hotel in...

Liked: Good location near the station Nice breakfast
Disliked: No air conditioning !!We stayed during a heat wave - without air conditioning it was very warm and the windows would not stay open without using objects from the room - eg toilet roll etcThe shower had a curtain not a door and it was not easy to keep the floor wetThis hotel, once obviously very grand is now looking a bit tired and has seen better days

Hotel with charm and excellent...

Liked: Good choice of breakfast, cooked to order. We had our evening meal both nights of our stay there. A reasonable choice of menu. Personally I don’t like a massive menu, I’d never be able to decide. It would be nice to visit again and spend longer looking around the Beautiful area, as it was ideally situated in the centre.
Disliked: Whilst being in the centre is a bonus, the downside was the noise of traffic going past in the morning. Obviously the hotel can do absolutely nothing about that and to be fair they do provide ear plugs. You can’t have ancient charm of hotel with upvc windows. That just doesn’t work!

Liked: Clean , spacious, warm welcome, lovely staff and lots of nice touches in your room. Breakfast was the best we have had. Brilliant stay
