The Barrington Arms Hotel

Fine for one night is...

Liked: Good location and value for money. Breakfast ok and fast service. Room clean and a decent size.
Disliked: Staff were a little rude, was given incorrect information by one and another was very abrupt when I questioned it. Quite a few ants in the bathroom and some stains on the carpet, but generally fine.

Comfortable and great value for...

Liked: Perfect location with good food and lovely staff
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Acceptable - staff were late on duty and it was late
Disliked: Barry restaurant area would benefit from refurbishment

Very good value and comfortable...

Liked: Nice old building, the guest accommodation is chalet style, separate to the pub. They were not offering evening meals when we stayed but directed us the pub opposite which had a good pub menu. The staff at the Barrington were very helpful and responsive.

OK for a short stay.

Liked: A good central location for where I needed to visit.
Disliked: Staff were ok but the breakfast cook could have been more attentive rather than looking at his mobile with his feet up.The room was passable but could have been better decorated. The shower door was broken but useable. The flloring could be fixed. There was no mirror in the bedroom area.

Disliked: Needs a bit of tlc especially the front of the building

Liked: Tis is our second stay here I thought I had booked a room over the bar. But got a room at back of the bar little bungalows comfortable enough the beds are amazing great sleep all 3 nights had an issue with the blinds couldn't get them to come down Felicity from the bar came and sorted it breakfast is great
