The Spotlight on The Baroness Hotel

Classic Seattle Charm Close to the Action

A cozy, vintage-style stay in the heart of Seattle, The Baroness Hotel offers old-school comfort just blocks from the city’s top attractions and music venues. Located right across from Virginia Mason Medical Center and within easy reach of Pike Place Market and the Washington State Convention Center, this all-suites hotel is a smart pick for concert-goers who want a central, budget-friendly base with a bit of historic charm.

Why Concert-goers love it

If you're heading to a show at WaMu Theater, Climate Pledge Arena, or one of the city’s many downtown venues, this hotel puts you within a quick 10-minute drive. Fans appreciate the late 12:00 PM checkout—perfect after a long night—and the convenience of 24-hour front desk service. While the rooms don’t have air conditioning, each suite includes a fan, keeping things comfortable even during busy summer tour seasons. Bonus: the hotel can arrange shuttle service to cruise terminals, which is handy for travelers catching a post-concert cruise.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends looking to split a suite with a kitchen
Solo travelers tracking down their bucket-list artist
Couples planning a relaxed, music-filled weekend
Fans who want a quiet space after the encore
Budget-conscious music lovers who still want a prime location

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant, each suite comes with a full kitchen, perfect for late-night bites or lazy breakfasts. The hotel is also just a short walk from a range of casual restaurants and cafes, many of which stay open late. No room service, but the location makes takeout a breeze.

Nightlife Options

You're a short stroll from Capitol Hill’s buzzing bars and lounges, or a quick ride to Belltown’s live music joints and cocktail haunts. While the hotel itself is more low-key and doesn’t host music events, it’s a solid base for exploring Seattle’s evening scene and coming back to a quiet, restful space.

What People Say

Travelers love the friendly staff, the hotel’s historic charm, and the spacious suites that offer great value. Many note that the location is ideal for accessing both downtown and Capitol Hill, with reviewers often pointing out the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms aren't air-conditioned, which could be a concern during rare Seattle heat waves—but the provided fans usually do the trick. Some guests mention the decor feels a bit dated, but most see it as part of the hotel’s vintage vibe.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers seeking affordable comfort and convenience near Seattle’s top venues, The Baroness Hotel hits the right notes.

Exceptional

Liked: Ease of check in, cozy, unique, not modern and updated, amenities like right next to the city and unique Seattle "things! Staff was welcoming and kept me on the second level so I didnt have to carry my bags to the top floor. Personable, helpful, courteous staff. Making jokes and making it feel like friends or colleagues rather than sterile, unhelpful experience. Customer service! Stylish rooms, and I was fortunate to have just returned from a vacation and was tired. This was the tail end of my vacation.
Disliked: Um, maybe was a little noisy in the evening but overall pretty calm for its location. And had vending machines and in room convenient coffee and tea. More television channels and the rooms were not the absolute cleanest as they seemed to accumulate dust and debris if you looked closely.

Comfortable. Great value for money.

Liked: Loved its antique style, the spacious rooms, the compliments, and all appliances and services the room had. And just around the corner is a great coffee shop.
Disliked: Elevator was slow and wasn't working well.Doors closed too slow and once they were closed, they opened as if one of the sensors were being activated.Other than that detail, I loved it.

Beautiful old hotel in a...

Liked: Location is very good, and the hotel is very unique in an old building. The room was larger than expected and would be great for extended stays (full kitchen, etc). We got lucky with street parking
Disliked: Really no complaints. Front doors were having issues but that's not their fault.

Superb

Liked: The location was perfect, walking distance from the train station and downtown and also close to useful transit lines. The historic decor was great. I wish I could live in this building.
Disliked: The stove in the room was a remnant from former times and didn't work, but not a big deal. It wasn't the fault of the hotel, but there was also quite a bit of noise outside - people arguing in the street late at night.
