Liked: Great location for our work trip, great food and near local country park for run in the morning

Liked: Beautiful grounds, very comfortable rooms and they even put a dog bed and bowl in my room and also dog biscuits. Very nice touch.

Lovely setting, convenient location

Liked: Lovely setting, dining and bar area. The breakfast was very tasty although only tea and filter coffee was included in the price. It would have been nice for barista coffees to be included in a £15 per head cooked buffet breakfast.
Disliked: Reception staff were a little surly and had to be overly persuaded to activate an early check in, despite the fact this had been pre-requested. Staff were very unwilling to do look into / do this process until a manager became involved.

Liked: Warm, comfortable room
Disliked: The plug in the bath didn't fit right when you pushed it down so water escaped when you filled it. Quite a cramped narrow bath too which had a crack on side and was definitely old!Found that window latch safety cord was broken so this is dangerous for younger children who might stay here in the future.No information card in the room ie welcoming you to the hotel.

Liked: The room and staff were good, it a shame other things let the hotel down.
Disliked: I didn’t like the fact that you were no open and transparent about the extra charge for my dog. If I had known about this I may not have booked the hotel as it significantly changed the price in comparison to other similar accommodation. I got charged twice for the room, was refunded however dispute requesting did not received a full receipt. What also didn’t help was a delivery at 4;30 am which woke me up.
