A good hotel, comfortable and...

Liked: It was ideally situated for getting to the centre.Rooms were comfortable and adequate for our stay, there was an iron and ironing board and a hairdryer. Tea and coffee making facilities. We were only there 2 nights but towels were changed after first day.Breakfast was good.Staff were helpful and friendly.
Disliked: The lift wasn’t working at the time of our stay, but staff did offer to take our bags to the room, we were on the 3rd floor.

Very good

Liked: Very ideal location where I needed to go. Room was nice with a fridge included. Room temperature was perfect and no noise from the room itself. Staff were incredibly friendly. Security deposit was very reasonable. Curtains were perfect for keeping outside light entering the room. Couldn't hear traffic noise when trying to sleep. Would recommend again.
Disliked: Sadly the lift wasn't working on this occasion but they did apologise about this and offer to help carry any heavy luggage up the stairs. Checked the windows were shut yet could still hear people talking loudly when they were drunk whether it was inside or outside the hotel, no fault of the staff on this and for light sleepers such as myself, do invest in a Bluetooth Sleep Mask which helped reduce the noise some people were making.

Unfortunately not worth it

Liked: I've stayed at this hotel twice now, the first time was a far better experience than the second. The hotel itself is aesthetically pleasing and pretty central, a 10 minute walk will get you into the centre of town.
Disliked: The first time we stayed, the only negative I had was the complete lack of interest from the guy serving people their orders at breakfast. This time around was way different. Our second keycard didn't work, after taking it back to reception to get replaced we found that our original card (and the new one) took 3 or 4 scans to open the door, a tiny annoyance but no biggie. Our room was on the 4th floor.. Lift was broken, again, a small inconvenience, no big deal.A bunch of the channels on the TV don't work, we decide to use the chromecast option instead (which worked the first year).. Doesn't work.We go down for breakfast the next morning, sit down.. Kitchen is in darkness.A member of staff informs us the chef hasn't turned up yet and they don't have a number to get in touch with him. (what?)Day 2.. We wake up to a smell of sewage coming from the room, the toilet has something in the water which looks like dirty leaves. We go down for breakfast.. Only to be told that unless we've already paid for it, they won't serve us.We paid almost half a grand to stay at this hotel for 2 nights and they couldn't serve us breakfast once.Night 2 the fire alarm went off several times too for several seconds a time.I would have recommended this hotel to people after the first visit, but definitely not now unfortunately.
