Stunning art deco hotel

Liked: This place is amazing!The staff, the service, the food, the decor are all excellent. The rooms are a very good size, the beds are really comfy & there's always hot water in the showers.The restaurant food is good value and portion sizes are great.The prices in the bar are about average and cheaper than the closest pub. The breakfast was freshly cooked & a great choice available.This is our 4th stay and will definitely be back.A real gem!
Disliked: Location!! Too far away from where we live on the isle of Wight! Seriously, the public transport is appalling. There's only 1 bus at 9.30am to Northampton and 2 back in the afternoon. These are normally late (20 mins is not unusual) and no buses at all on a Sunday.Nothing we don't like about the hotel though.

Overpriced - Not worth the...

Disliked: The bedrooms!! There were only 2 sockets in the whole room, the TV was the smallest I have ever seen, could not actually see the screen very well from the bed at all and WIFI not great.When you see the reception area, you expect the rest of the hotel to match up - automatic sliding doors and lovely decor - however when you get to the bedrooms, no sliding doors and they shut on you when you have all your luggage to carry, rooms big but very basic.Got back from work late and missed the shop for anything to eat, guy offered a brownie and some of the free biscuits you get in your room, which was nice - until check out and had been charged a fiver!!!!
