Liked: Great location. Staff very friendly when engaged. Food very good at all times and all locations. Rooms old fashioned, as expected and wanted, but very comfortable. Nice pool.
Disliked: Bar prices very, very high.Not really a complaint but an observation. The pitch and putting course was very hard to access. It's only for the very fit. But it is in Scotland, so to be expected, just could be pre warned.

Lovely hotel and good food...

Liked: The Atholl Palace is a stunning building in a stubby location. Old Victorian to a T. Food was great.
Disliked: Some Staff seemed a little bit surly in their approach. They were trying but missed the sweet spot of service. My ordered newspaper never appeared. The reception is poorly designed with the acoustics creating a bit of tension and not a relaxed arrival. The squeaky revolving door added to this problem. In the spa, the steam room was not hot enough.
