Comfy, clean and great breakfast.

Liked: It's the third time I stay at this property and already feels like a second home. It's very cozy, clean and the breakfast is fantastic. Haven't yet had the chance to try the steak, but it looks gorgeous too. Calm location, a quick stroll from the city centre and conveniently close to the airport shuttle.

If it were cheaper I'd...

Liked: Location was perfect for what we needed. Ample street parking available. The shower was clean. The breakfast was fantastic.
Disliked: I definitely feel it wasn't worth the money. The room was 'cosy' but it wasnt really clean to a standard the price reflected. All the windows were single glazed and it was a windy night (not that they can control the weather) however, it drastically affected my sleep to the point I could hear people getting in and out of cars, traffic from the main road (it's not on a main road) and even a conversation from some passers by.

Liked: Nice room with comfy bed and facilities. Room lovely and warm. Excellent food, especially the Scrambled eggs at breakfast!

Comfortable, warm stay near to...

Liked: Breakfast including full English was all in the price, I ordered the omelette and toast but could have added more if wanted. Double bed was comfortable and shower roomy for a small room. TV in the room if wanted. I was give a parking permit when I asked about parking the next morning in order to attend a conference.
Disliked: Some single rooms are a little better than others.

Good value would recommend.

Liked: Breakfast good but limited choice, pot pf tea instead of one cup each would be better. staff helpful and friendly. hotel cleanliness very clean and comfortable. Bathroom needed updating ie pipes leaking and shower doors broken. fresh towels and clean cups would be nice each day. Otherwise the stay was very good and friendly. Good location for buses into the city and places of interest. would stay again and recommend to family and friends. Very reasonably priced and parking permit a plus.
Disliked: As mentioned above.

A comfortable room

Liked: The B&B is located above a restaurant, The Ashville Steakhouse, so breakfast is in there. The full English breakfast is substantial (for me, anyway) with good coffee. The location is great, within walking distance of North Street where one can find the Aldi, banks, many local shops, pubs and restaurants. The neighbourhood is also good for walking. A comfortable room. Taps in the bathroom are the modern mixers and the hot water comes on fast, a boon as the mornings were chilly with temperatures hovering around 6C-7C when we were there.
Disliked: The reading lamp on one side wasn't working and was never fixed, despite our informing and reminding the staff. The heating in the towel rack in the bathroom never came on even though we had the heater on in the bedroom. Given that temperatures were between 10C and 6C daily, that was a bit of a bother. Also, on Friday and Saturday nights, the noise from the restaurant below (our room was just above the restaurant) can affect sleep if you are the type that likes to sleep early and needs silence to sleep well. Not a problem for me or my husband but I know this can be a sticking point for some people. I'd suggest requesting a room that doesn't sit just above the restaurant if noise affects sleep.
