Exceptional

A confusing mixture!

Liked: The inn was well located but very noisy with music from downstairs, loud voices outside and traffic. The hotel part had been recently and tastefully decorated and our room was spotless.
Disliked: We were expecting a breakfast but instead found a deserted room with a couple of opened cheap brand breads and a self-service hot drinks maker.Nobody was about. It was stated in our room that if you had any allergies or intolerances to inform someone but there was nobody about to relay this to so I went hungry.

Disappointing

Liked: Location was good as we were going to Ardingly College to see an amateur drama group perform.
Disliked: Only one plug socket by bed, one bedside table and you had to get out of bed to turn the lights off. No cooked breakfast, poor choice ales

Disappointed with Service and Amenities

Disliked: The room was not serviced by housekeeping for the entire week. I had to retrieve towels myself from a cabinet in the corridor. Additionally, the breakfast provided was of very poor quality and did not reflect what we paid for.

Liked: THE BREAKFAST WAS GOOD AND ABUNDANT, THE CHEF WAS VERY HELPFUL IN TRYING TO SATISFY MY EVERY REQUEST
Disliked: The only downside was that the kitchen wasn't open every day, especially in the evenings. This made it uncomfortable, as the closest open restaurant was a 20-minute walk away. It's doable, but when it rains, as it often does, it's not very pleasant. For lunch, however, we were always guaranteed an excellent meal at the bar next door. It would be helpful to consider keeping the kitchen open every evening to ensure a full service.
