The Arch Convention Hotel

Needs major improvements to facility.

Liked: Service was excellent, especially the cleaning ladies.
Disliked: Shower curtain was falling from walls (maintenance had to come). Vanity sink drain was leaking onto the floor every time the water was turned on (maintenance had to come). The ironing board would not stay upright (maintenance had to come). There was an extension cord strung across the room to power the light near the chair.

Disappointing

Liked: They didn’t even have coffee to offer their guests. Even super 8 offers breakfast. Not even coffee??!!

Good

Liked: It was next door to America's Convention Center. The price was affordable. Wifi and cable channels were included.
Disliked: It is a Holiday Inn. Name change made it confusing and seem like I was being scammed when booking online. Room could use vacuuming, ceiling repair in bathroom, and heater filter replacement since it smelled once turned on.

Disappointing

Disliked: No actual parking, beds were uncomfortable bathroom looked liked a remodel was started and stopped halfway through.

Liked: Located downtown! Clean and comfy!
Disliked: The parking was the only issue but it wasn’t terrible.

Liked: After we were moved to a more sufficient room, my stay was a bit better.
Disliked: When I arrived at the hotel, I was unsure of being in the correct location. The hotel name was not advertised on the building. I did not reserve a room at the Holiday Inn, but that was the name on the hotel. My first room was very warm, and the bathroom looked as if renovations were still going. Two different people walked into my bedroom without knocking and accessed my room while I occupied the room. Maintenence came to fix the air conditioning problem but left without fixing the issue and did not return. I called the front desk for the second time to request maintenance. They sent another person, and he said the air is broken and brought us key cards for another room. We had to move rooms after 5pm. We packed up our belongings and dinner to move, which was a hassle and very irritating, but the second room was better because the room looked renovated and had air conditioning. I explained what happened to the front desk receptionist and was told there was no one from management on the property until after 3pm at which I would have departed by then so needless to say I was not compensated for any of the issues the hotel caused. No apology and no contact from the hotel to correct their mistakes. I am a very unhappy customer.
