Liked: We had a wonderful experience at this Bed & Breakfast. We enjoyed great company, engaging conversations, and gained insights into Scottish family life. Our hosts cooked for us and treated us to a homemade meal. We had good laughs’ and enjoyed delightful anecdotes. The highlight of our stay was the demonstration of a bouncing egg. Overall, it was the highlight of our Bed & Breakfast experience for the entire trip. It was no issue for us to arrive at short notice, even in the evening and without warning. A definite must for a trip on the NC 500!

Best BnB we’ve ever been...
Liked: At the beginning of January my husband and I visited the North of Scotland, and chose The Antlers as our base. As soon as we arrived and stepped through the doors, we were treated with such kindness and friendliness from Sandy and Sandra, and were treated more like close friends than guests paying for a room. The house was warm, clean and cosy with a lovely fire and great cups of tea and biscuits made available to us! After driving 8 hours, we were excited to get a good nights rest. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, and it’s probably the best nights sleep I’ve ever had. There’s no horns honking from passing cars, no fighting or voices outside the window, and no lights from surrounding properties. The following morning we were woken to the great smell of breakfast (all of which is included in the price), and ate food before heading off for the day. The owners were helpful, accommodating and more than happy to engage in conversation. Both Sandy and Sandra are two of the most lovely, interesting people we met on our trip, and I would absolutely recommend having a chat with them and hearing some of their amazing stories! Sandra also told me where to see a highland cow, for which I will be forever grateful. There is a private bathroom. It’s not attached to the room but it is private, well kept and stocked, and clean. The view outside of the house is unparalleled, and the night sky is the best I’ve ever seen (and I’m from a Northumberland dark-sky zone). If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in the north of the highlands, I can’t recommend The Antlers enough. Thank you for such an amazing stay, and we’ll definitely be visiting again!
Disliked: There’s nothing that I can think of at all

Liked: The staff were wonderfully friendly, gave me loads of tea and biscuits, and helped me to dry out all my hiking gear before I set off again the next day.
