The Angus Hotel & Spa

Great few days

Liked: Spa lovely & hot reasonable size.. staff polite & very helpful. Did have to park on the road the last night but was easy still next to the hotel. We never ate there so cannot comment on the food.
Disliked: The window in our room was not able to be shut after opening. We needed to open as we pickeda very warm few days.

Glad to get home get...

Liked: I like where it is I like the atmosphere
Disliked: I have been.Coming to the hotel for about 5 yrs now and I can honestly say this was my worse stay I had food to eat in the restaurant a pizza it wasn’t cooked properly and it had chicken on it by the result I started to vomit around 530 on sat evening had a really sore tummy missed the show an I was there with my family 10 of us the first room 213 couldn’t get in an out bath with my mobility plus the noise from the back where the kitchen is an the smell in the room wasn’t pleasant my husband went to see about being moved so we went toRoom 229 it was stillAt the back the noise of the kitchen humming flue an the smellAn the room was so smallWe couldn’t move around freely we aren’t petite people the noise from other doors slamming an slamming the menu is poor for choice I mean macaroni with onions an chorizo it was disgusting my sister couldn’t eat it the mushrooms on toast were soggy yuck the grease was running out the fish heard others complaining as well so maybe u need to look at the menu an the chef even the haggis Neeps an tatties had fired onions on the top disgusting

Angus Hotel stay was lovely

Liked: Lovely location. Nice Spa with a swimming pool.Enjoyed our dinner. Had a lovely walk along the river path the following morning after a nice breakfast. Will definitely.be visiting Angus Hotel again.

Would stay again but would...

Liked: The room was large and comfortable. Pool and spa area.
Disliked: The breakfast left a lot to be desired, cooked items poor and continental options very limited

Disliked: Staff members where slow & unorganised when serving evening meal

Excellent Hotel

Liked: Well presented public areas. Rooms and bathrooms are well equipped and clean. The Spa facilities were excellent and very clean.
Disliked: Limited choice on the menu but food was excellent both at Dinner and Breakfast was fabulous with plenty of choice and all freshly cooked.

Give this Hotel a miss.

Liked: Location is good
Disliked: Poor service, room was not ready at 3pm for check-in. Could not use Spa as you had to book a time slot. If you are staying at a hotel with a spa, it should be available for guests. They are obviously more interested in looking after local members. Breakfast service was terrible, porridge inedible and staff not polite. I paid nearly £400 for two rooms for family, overpriced, and will never bool it again.
