The Anglers Arms

Would recommend it to anyone.

Liked: What a little beauty. The location was perfect, in that it was very quiet, perfect for an early morning walk, and using as a centre point for seeing the sights in the county. The staff were perfect. Always helpful and smiling. We ate breakfast and dinners there as well. Couldn’t fault any of it.
Disliked: Nothing

Superb

Liked: Friendly staff and very comfortable beds. Lovely location.
Disliked: The shower was difficult to control and difficult to manage. Water was too hot, even on the lower setting.

Great staff, great food, lovely...

Liked: Lovely old building but well maintained. Although our room was on the 2nd floor, easy access to car park via fire escape. Bar area typical pub, but not too noisy.
Disliked: No mobile signal

Nice overnight stay in lovely...

Liked: Lovely old pub in nice quiet location. They accept dogs which is important for us animal owners. The staff were welcoming and the food was good. Would stay again.
Disliked: Nothing it was good.

Liked: The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and the service was excellent too.
Disliked: We were in room 8 unfortunately the shower wasn’t draining well, we reported this problem and a chemicals were used to unblock the drains, it helped a bit but not totally clear. We could smell chemicals in our room also a musky smell. I think unfortunately the plumbing system needs an overhaul as we heard other guest mention about blocked drains in showers.

Wonderful stay at delightful place

Liked: Lovely property next to the Anglers Arms. Good parking facilities. Cottage was well equipped for short stay. Breakfast was included & was excellent. Ate dinner both evenings in the restaurant, food was delicious. Staff friendly & helpful.
Disliked: Nothing not to like.
