Liked: The hotel has charm, comfort, friendly staff who are always helpful, and great facilities. The bedroom and en-suite are well-designed and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent with a wide choice of cooked and continental foods, and great coffee.

Liked: Lovely setting and easily accessible. Spacious bar and dining area. Nice welcome on arrival. Our room was not within the main building, but in a quiet cabin at the rear facing onto fields. Spacious accommodation with large bathroom. Very clean and comfortable.
Disliked: One of the bulbs in the bed side light was not working which we reported to reception. The flush on the toilet did not work very well. No pastries at breakfast, but when I requested scrambled eggs instead they were made especially for me and were very good.

Disliked: Booked and paid for a family room, and upon arrival was told I’m not getting a family room because I didn’t state the names for the room on my booking so they automatically moved my booking to a small room with no advance warning or refund in price difference. Surely if you pay for a room that’s what you should get.Afterwards I was then given a family room but was told I cannot use the sink… Woke up in the morning and electrics weren’t working. No hot water available at reception. Food was a disaster, missing food etc. I’ve requested an invoice a week ago and still not received anything. I don’t like leaving reviews like this but I cannot say the experience was positive at all. A very disjointed stay with very bad communication.I’ve also attached a photo of what should be a “smash burger” as you can see it’s just a normal burger….
