The Angel Hotel

Basic clean and acceptable.

Liked: The hotel was basic but clean and met our expectations .
Disliked: The only issue was the temperature in the room. We stayed when we had a heatwave and the rooms held the heat and no way of cooling them down so struggled to sleep.

Liked: Breakfast was fine. Evening menu maybe could have done with a little more choice ( vegetarian meal )Comfortable bed.There was a small oscillating fan in the room which was a good idea.
Disliked: Room wasn't as clean as expected (could have done with a quick hoover round.(remnants from prevoius occupants were visible when we arrived), I know we only stayed a couple of nights, but the bed seemed like it had just been pulled over a little more than we had left it, the bathroom waste bin had not been emptied and toilet roll had not been topped up. Kettle could do with descaling

Perfect hotel when working in...

Liked: Very friendly staff from the moment you check in. Very helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable in a quiet location perfect for staying away when working in the area. The evening meal and breakfast are exceptional along with the range of beers.
Disliked: Nothing this is a really nice hotel and is now my go to when working in that region. It is spot on.

Liked: Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was excellent
Disliked: Room was dusty. No safety mat in shower. No rails or handles to get into shower. No temperature control on shower. No hangers in bathroom for towels or clothes.
