The Americus is even more elegant than pictured. The staff were pleasant. The room was clean.

Liked: Clean room and not crowded.
Disliked: Rooftop bar not open.

Check in was quick and efficient; staff was friendly; valet staff were wonderful; room was perfect; will definitely stay here again.

Disliked: Could not get the safe to work in the room.

Nice old hotel; PPL Center was one block away and many restaurants and watering holes all walkable.

Liked: The history of the building is what drew us to make a reservation. We loved the suite and again the historical parts in the lobby!!!

It was an all around...

Liked: The building itself is a beautiful, historic structure. The room was big, clean and well appointed. The staff was professional, friendly and helpful. I had breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The restaurant was lovely, food was good and service was excellent.
Disliked: Noisy at night from traffic, as the hotel is located downtown.

Would definitely stay there again!

Liked: Good location! Close to everything I needed. Staff were excellent! Gave good advice on restaurants and helpful in making arrangements.Room was large, comfortable and very clean!
Disliked: A/C and TV were somewhat difficult to use .

Historic hotel in the middle...

Liked: We loved this historic hotel. The lobbies and mezzanines are well appointed and decorated with photos of the hotel's history.Our room was upgraded for free to a corner suite with amazing views of Allentown. The hotel is a great location for attending events, as several venues are a short walk away. Hamilton Street and the surrounding side streets are lined with restaurants and bars. The area is safe to walk. Staff was friendly and very accommodating.
Disliked: Nothing!

Very pleasant stay in a...

Liked: We did not realise that breakfast was available until the last day. That was a pity as on the last day we had breakfast and it was good and reasonably priced. The bar was good too. The room was large and comfortable.
Disliked: Communication on checking in. We did not know that we had to request housekeeping, or that anything about the breakfast.
