Decent. Would stay there again

Liked: Stylish, great location
Disliked: Couple issues in the room when we got there. Batteries dead in the remote, toilet wouldn’t flush. Maintenance fixed it within an hour but was still unnecessary

Very good

Liked: Beautiful decorated lobby. Great with two king beds in the double room. Plus for the reading lights and the window seat. Great location just by the river walk. The complimentary breakfast was incredible too.
Disliked: The bathroom needs a little attention.

Mixed reaction

Liked: Mixed Experience at The Alida – Beautiful Hotel, Severely UnderstaffedThe Alida has a lot going for it—clean rooms, a fresh scent throughout the hotel, incredibly comfortable beds, and thoughtful touches like complimentary water and fruit in the hallways. Rhett’s restaurant was the highlight of our stay—the food was absolutely phenomenal, easily the best I’ve had in years. However, the experience was overshadowed by the hotel being drastically understaffed. When we arrived around 1:30 pm, there was no valet in sight. We waited for a long time before finally handing our keys to the front desk associate. She was juggling everything—checking guests in, running food, answering phones—while the valet was simultaneously trying to assist with luggage and manage front desk responsibilities. It was clear they were both doing their best, but the staffing level simply couldn’t support the guest load. The room itself had a couple of issues—the bathroom doors weren’t properly installed and banged loudly anytime you moved them, which also meant we could hear our neighbors doing the same. The countertops were stained and outdated, but nothing major there. The next morning, we went to make coffee in the room only to find the creamer had expired and ruined the coffee. I called the front desk to request more coffee and fresh creamer, and while they said they’d send it up, it never came—even after nearly an hour of waiting.Bottom line: the staff was clearly trying their hardest, but with such a low headcount, they couldn’t deliver even the most basic amenities they charge for. Until the hotel addresses its staffing issues, it’s hard to justify a premium price tag.
