Such a big let down…

Liked: The location was great and the bed was comfortable enough
Disliked: We are from Australia here for a month camping around the west coast. We thought we would treat ourselves to two nights to shower and rest up! When we got there it looked nice from the front, old but nice. It’s no contact check in which was easy enough but doesn’t give the same experience :(When I walked in I was really upset. The walls were THIN, everything was so old and dusty. We had lights that were blown out, the aircon didn’t work and was so loud. There’s lights all around the building and they have curtains that barely cover the window!! Light beaming in alllllll night. We even found someone’s old contact lens on the floor. The shower was old and yucky. We ended up wishing we just stayed in our van. Mind you it cost around $500USD for two nights ($800 AUD!)just not good enough. Definitely won’t ever be coming back which I was hoping it wasn’t going to be this way especially because I HATE leaving bad reviews.

Location and cleanliness 10/10!

Liked: Good value for money. Excellent location — close to shops and cafés, yet not on the main road but among pine trees, so it was quiet to sleep. This is not a 5-star hotel, so don’t expect new furniture, but what mattered was that it was truly clean. Bed linens and towels were spotless and felt like new. The bathroom and toilet were also clean. No bedbugs or insects were noticed. Just 5 minutes from Whole Foods, McDonald’s, Chipotle, restaurants, and cafés, and the beach is only about a 10-minute walk away.
Disliked: I would recommend cleaning the air conditioner filters, as they are quite dusty. However, I didn’t use it, so this is basically my only comment.

Liked: Bed was comfortable and it was a good location. Price was very competitive.
Disliked: Pictures vs. reality is very different. Unfortunately the inside of the apartment is not as nice and it has many faults (toilet seat was to small for the toilet) and needs more touches to make it nicer. Unfortunately the place was dirty in many places. Side tables were dirty and sticky from juice. Showers was not cleaned, tv pilot was dirty and sticky. Room for improvement there. You can hear everything coming from other neighboring rooms.

Good for location and value...

Liked: We liked the proximity to Heavenly resort, a 30 min walk or a 5 minute drive. Also close to a wholefoods which we were happy about. The value of the motel in comparison to other ms was good as this was one of 17 hotels/ motels on our road trip.
Disliked: We found the property to not be the cleanest. Cobwebsand a bit dated bedding and furniture. There was no iron or ironing board and in the three days we were there there was no housekeeping. We couldn’t say our concerns to management as there was never anyone on the office
