Disappointing for the money

Liked: Beautiful building, cool history, and great location.
Disliked: No internet in our room. Staff said it was “mountain” internet. I guess that means it doesn’t work. Food was not good for the price. Rooms were very small.

Disliked: We arrived mid week and the staff was waiting to assist us in an arrival in the lateness of the evening! They could not have been more helpful! They arranged a dinner time, and the waitress quickly provided a plant diet and oatmilk! Thank you for their kind help!

Sensational surroundings, lack lustre hospitality...

Liked: Meals were held in the giant dining room with gorgeous views of the park and waterfall. For Breakfast there was fresh orange juice and quite a large selection of hot and cold dishes. The dinner was a buffet however it was excellent. There's nothing that beats Yosemite in the winter with fresh snow and very few tourists.
Disliked: The Ahwhanee is very expensive for many travellers given the current strength of the US dollar.There are so many various taxes added to your bill (a page of them) that it makes this lodge very expensive. For example breakfast for three people was ¢150 US plus tips.None of the facilities like the hot tub were working. Our room view was marred by work equipment and sheds from current renovations. Some of the staff were not helpful and in fact were quite rude. The rooms were old and a little tired but charming enough if they weren't so pricey.
