Perfect location for Clemson

Liked: onsite bar and quaint breakfast was perfect for us. I liked the decor of the room-it was not a basic room in a chain hotel. There was a very nice counter for coffee and food prep, full length mirror, some space to move around and a simple table to share a meal. There is walkable options for food and you're across the street from Clemson 's campus and very close to the football stadium. We walked to the softball field and it was about 10 easy minutes. perfect!
Disliked: The pull out bed matress was very thin (although thats probably all that can fit).

Exceeded expectations for super-picky traveler!...

Liked: We absolutely love the attention to detail that the staff/owners put into this hotel/room. The shower is such an important thing to us, especially after a long day of travel and we agree that it was the best shower for a hotel we've probably ever had! The cleanliness exceeded my expectations, as we are "clean freaks" and the bed was super comfortable, which is always the most important to everyone traveling. The avocado toast, latte and waffle were delicious!! We would ONLY stay at the Abernathy when visiting Clemson in the future...thank you so much for the fantastic experience!
Disliked: I honestly can't think of anything we didn't like...maybe provide some slippers for guests, since the rooms have wood floors (which I appreciate instead of nasty carpeting!) , but slippers are more comfortable than not, if you don't remember to pack socks or your own :)

Liked: Location perfect, great for university events.
Disliked: Room was great, spacious, clean, nice, with the little kitchenette bar, everything good, except the bed and pillows for me were a way too firm and I didnt sleep too well. My wife did not agree though so I know this is a personal preference.
