Comfortable stay, prompt service-leisure staff...

Liked: Nice selection at breakfast, the concierge staff were very friendly. Gym facilities were great, prompt room service
Disliked: Staff at the leisure centre could have been more friendly; especially for a 4- Star hotel. Made me feel almost like a nuisance for asking simple things such as: booking a pool time slot, asking for a towel (at one point one member sighed, no verbal comms, handed the towel over with no words spoken) such a minor point but body language spoke volumes. It’s a shame as the place is great but the communication skills of staff could be improved, could see how this could be off-putting for some. Felt guilty using the facilities I paid for

Liked: It is close to my father who had just lost his wife so myself and my son travelled up to comfort him for the first few days.
Disliked: This was my second stay in the Altens. It’s a lovely hotel.

Disliked: Had to pay for parking at on-site location even though it was not expensive
