Lovely old historic hotel, a...

Liked: Very helpful reception staff
Disliked: Restaurant full at breakfast time, despite having to book, there was no table was available.

Superb

Liked: Stunning old building with lots of character. The public areas were super, comfy and up to date. Lovely shower and nice big towels that covered the essentials.
Disliked: Once past the public areas the character of the building was not quite so evident and the decor a little tired, but perfectly ok. Could have done with a socket or USB point next to the bed.

Peaceful and relaxing.

Liked: The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is excellent, not least because I told them exactly how I wanted my pasta cooked, and that is how it was done. The buffet breakfasts are hot and fresh (not always so in other hotels).Very comfortable room. And the barman knew how to mix negronis!
Disliked: They can't do anything about the capacious car park down at the bottom of a hill...
