The Abbey isn’t what it...

Liked: The location was perfect for a weekend wedding we were in town for. Close to the lake and local bars and restaurants.
Disliked: The Abbey is very dated and in need of a facelift. Carpets are dingy. Hall had a very odd smell. Just not what we expected. We stayed on a Thursday so we paid much less than a weekend rate but had we paid typical prices I would have been extremely disappointed. Also our room was not ready when we checked in an hour after checkin time ( after 5:00) and we had traveled a long way and needed to be changed and ready by 6 to be somewhere. The bathroom is not well lit and the exhaust is very loud. We had no washcloths or shower mat. Staff was not very helpful.
