Pleasant

Pleasant stay and good value.

Liked: Lovely location by the river. Excellent breakfast, for both choice and quality. Friendly staff.
Disliked: Bathroom is a bit outdated and rather small, shower needs re-grouting and we were surprised to find it carpetted. The bedroom curtains need lining or blinds need fitting as they let a lot of light in when drawn. Service was a bit slow for the evening meal.

Liked: Lovely position alongside the river. Cosy and warm room. Good hospitality. Lovely hot and tasty breakfast.
Disliked: If being really picky, just a bit more attention to detail outside, bits of rubbish and pots full of cigarette butts, but didn't detract from our experience

Liked: Fabulous location by the river. The breakfast was outstanding and piping hot.All the staff were very welcoming, couldn't fault it and would highly recommend. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Exellent B&B would recommend.

Liked: Bottles of water in room that were replenished when used was excellent. Breakfast was very good. Lovely quiet spot. The mattresses were soft and comfortable. Food was excellent value for money. View of the river from room was beautiful. Lovely spot and near "attractions" easy to walk to.
Disliked: Just a little constructive criticism, the room would have benefited from a chair but I understand that Gooseander room had only just been refurbished and maybe the chair hadn't been placed in there yet.

Room on road side very...

Liked: Fantastic location, friendly staff and good food
Disliked: I had a room on the road side and it was very noisy with lorries breaking and turning into a depot (first photo) until very late and starting at 5am. One of the floodlights on the building was shining at the window also meaning the room was lit up all night (second photo). I'm sure the rooms on the riverside are lovely, but be careful if booking on the cheaper rate. I did ask for one of these but it was over my work budget. A very bad nights sleep sadly
