The Abbey Hotel & Apartments is consisted of of a Tudor house built around 1530 and a medieval merchant's house built around 1350. Free on-site parking is available and Bury St Edmunds town center is just over a mile away. Free Wi-Fi is provided in each room at The Abbey Hotel & Apartments as well as an private bathroom and a king-size bed. A TV and tea/coffee making facilities are also provided. A full English breakfast including local smoked back bacon and sausages is made cooked to order with a buffet of lighter options also available. Laundry facilities are also available. Liked: The owner is a very nice guy, very helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast is excellent - I had the full Irish (they call it full English - but we'll let that pass!). Its an easy walk into the town - no more than a 10 minute stroll. I felt a huge sense of achievement after parking in the car park - access can be a bit tight. Just give yourself a wide turning arc and youll be grand.
Disliked: No problems.

Excellent accommodation nicely situated reasonably priced.
