Room too small
Liked: The only nice part is the restaurant and the breakfast
Disliked: I have booked a small single room but it turned out too small for me for two nights. The pictures on the booking confirmation don’t match with the actual room. Couldn’t get another room because apparently they were fully booked. Very small. overall uncomfortable stay

Adequate for a 2 night...
Liked: Location in the old town was very good.
Disliked: The shower over the bath was poor- low pressure, variable water temperatures during the shower, poor non slip on the bath surface and the timed lighting (no natural light!) went off halfway through the showering process. (room 9 FYI)

Excellent location comfortable room excellent...
Liked: Great location , room was comfortable clean had everything I needed .Breakfast was delicious freshly cooked to order the best we have had in a long time .
Disliked: Lack of information in room eg WiFi codes also lack of storage in bathroom it would have been nice to have a unit to put toiletries in/on.

A pleasant 2nd stay but...
Liked: Despite very old building the squeaky flooring in room 10 was too much. This could be addressed surely. We worried we were disturbing other guests but it was also very annoying. Bed was lovely and comfortable and room very clean. Like the little touches of chocs and biscuits. Luckily found the air cooling fans in the wardrobe by chance whilst looking for extra pillows. In the heatwave it would have been good to have them ready by bedside. Overall ok stay and excellent location. Liked air conditioning in the bar.
Disliked: Hot/cold shower and poor pressure. Very old building so accepted it gracefully but husband is a plumber and not impressed! Cooked breakfast was lovely but run out of cups, glasses and pastries and waited so long for latter we had to leave for journey home. One staff member was very pleasant and greeted everyone with a smile although she was very busy (young lady with pigtails - well done). Other staff although busy and did job adequately looked bored (sorry but I work in costumer service). Also although you don't guarantee car parking, it was apparent the car park was being used by customers of bar across road and several Abbeyfields customers had to find and pay for parking including us which was disappointing. This should be policed better by hotel.

Wouldn’t recommend
Liked: The location is right in the centre of Kenilworth, easy to get everywhere and easy to reach Warwick university.
Disliked: It was too hot and stuffy, nearly 40C in our room. They moved us after we complained, and the other rooms were better. It’s not their fault there was a heat wave but they didn’t prepare, considering they had so many rooms sold. The hotel seems an afterthought, you have to hunt down staff to check in, or for any requests. The rooms are tired, and not really comfortable. I don’t recommend anyone stays there.

Beautiful location, quaint old world...
Liked: Quaint pub feel. Kenilworth lovely location. Pleasant room with all necessary facilities.
Disliked: Parking limited with several parking spaces taken by vans from a private company.
