Short, comfortable, and refreshed for...

Liked: We had two rooms, the Gervais and Capital room. We arrived in the evening and left early in the morning. Everything was clear as to getting into the home and rooms. Loved how big and spacious the rooms are and the beds are so comfy. My family members who slept in the Capital room said they slept extremely well, so that was good to hear. We didn’t see anybody else while we were there…so that felt strange but I didn’t mind.
Disliked: Sorry to be critical, but the Gervais room needs a shower equivalent to the capital room. Lose the tub, move the sink into the room, change out the toilet to a normal one. Anyway…you have the room and know what you need to do.In the morning 4:30, I was startled by a guy riding a bike around in the neighborhood. I saw him a few times and that concerned me. We had no issues, but that was unusual for such an early hour.

A pleasant inn, no longer...

Liked: Good location, very quiet, with off street parking. The inn was very clean, with a nice common area.
Disliked: Old reviews say this is a B & B , but now it is entry by code, and breakfast is no longer served. There are no human beings, save for other guests, on the property.

Clean and comfortable - beautiful...

Liked: Easy parking and entry. No staff present - I was glad I read reviews and could set my expectations
Disliked: The instructions for parking behind can be clearer like tell guests to enter from Bull St and look for the sign. It was dark and rainy when we arrived so I had to drive around the block a few times just because we haven’t stayed before.

Excellent stay

Liked: So comfy and safe feeling.
Disliked: It was all great with the exception- and my mistake- I thought GB t it was a bed and breakfast- no breakfast- also a little confusing about the room- I arrived very late and did not catch in the text message that the the rooms were named and that was my room - sat on a sofa for a bit trying to figure out which room was mine- I was just probably tired.

The Rivers Suite

Liked: I loved how beautiful and cozy the house was. There was a festive Christmas tree lit up beside the stairs. The room we stayed in, The Rivers Suite, was spacious and clean, the bathroom was gorgeous, and the beds were so comfortable. Pam was super friendly and accommodating, considering there was a miscommunication beyond her control. She made it right, and my daughter and I were incredibly pleased with our rooms and our stay. I loved the keyless, coded entry feature. Enjoying my coffee and bagel on the balcony was a great start to my mornings while there. I have already recommended The 1425 Inn to friends and family. I loved that if you forget anything, they have a hallway closet containing shampoos, conditioners, body wash, razors, deodorant, etc..., there are also extra towels, washcloths and toilet paper located there.
Disliked: I didn't mind it, and I actually enjoyed it, but something to consider is that there is no one on site. Pam made sure to let us know that we could contact her if we needed anything, but if you are looking for a bed and breakfast, this is not really the vibe. They have a Keurig machine for coffee, a variety of tea bags, and offer a water cooler for fresh water. There was a bowl of fresh fruit (bananas and oranges), blueberry and plain bagels, a plate of cookies, a small fridge hosting some pre-packaged boiled eggs, butter, cream cheese and jelly, a microwave and a toaster in the dining room for snacks/breakfast. If you are looking for a place with breakfast included, this is probably not what you are expecting. We didn't mind because they are located so close to restaurants we wanted to try.
