Friendly cosy cottage in an...

Liked: The staff were exceptional and very welcoming. David, Richard and Matthew were very friendly and always greeted us with a warm welcome; they were informative and gave us suggestions on activities we could do around the area, upon their recommendation, we went to Lymington - which was a lovely visit. The breakfast was scrumptious and was great to have a variety of food to choose from. The bedroom was spacious and warm, which during this cold winter was lovely. The location is perfect. It's close to everything we wanted to see and a stones from from the station. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend to other guests.
Disliked: We could hear the noise from other guests during the night, the bedroom walls are thin and the and floor boards creak quite a bit. I'm a light sleeper so that was really my main concern. The breakfast area was cold and could be heated a little more. I feel the breakout area (where the games and books were stored) could do with an update, it would have been nice to chill in a separate space from our bedroom, but this space was a little too dark, cold and not overly welcoming. This would have been a good addition and a useful space to relax. Hope this is constructive feedback.

Great hotel

Liked: Great location, cozy warm room, nicely decorated. Tasty breakfast in the morning with lots of options, helpful staff
Disliked: Bed a little too small for 6 ft 3 young man, but otherwise very comfy !

Lovely 2 night wintry stay

Liked: We stayed for 2 nights at the Thatched cottage and our stay was lovely - right in the centre of brockenhurst . Staff were excellent, Gin Bar was great and breakfast fantastic. Room was lovey and great for a couple of nights. Throughly recommended.
