Incredible setting, very good value...

Liked: Lovely product on the outskirts of Aberdeen! Beautifully decorated to a high standard and works well with the old style of building. Like staying in an old English Manor House, just beautiful. Staff were so friendly!!
Disliked: Liked most things, the dinner I had wasn’t up to the standard of the hotel in my opinion, but was okay. I had the seafood pasta, but the sauce tasted like a Heinz tomatoe soup sauce with linguine and seafood although the prawns were lovely.

Liked: Lovely grounds staff were very friendly and helpful- the breakfast was amazing and rooms were very comfortable
Disliked: The room was quite dark even with lights on (not a lot of natural light) and the room above had very very loud squeaky creaking floor boards so was woken up very early multiple times with guests in room above us moving around. You can also hear everyone coming and going in the corridors.

Liked: Room was lovely and the leisure facilities were good.
Disliked: The price of the food and hot tub hire was quite expensive.

Liked: A quiet place. Beautiful Decor.
Disliked: The food was very average. We got a spoiled and rotten lemon for our tea. No one cared. No apologies. After this event we canceled all meals and attractions. We were forced to eat somewhere else.

Liked: Lovely old building with a welcoming vibe inside - staff were really good and the grounds were well maintained.
Disliked: The spa facilities were very poor for level you’d expect at a 4 star hotel. Pool was murky, the sauna and steam rooms didn’t feel clean. The jacuzzi was small. The food we had was extremely overpriced and upset our stomachs. The Junior suite we booked with roll top bath didn’t have water hot enough. Overall we were extremely disappointed with our stay and would recommend staying clear.
