Lovely location, beautiful hotel, great...

Liked: Room size etc was fine. From 7am the room above had a constant creaky floor for over half an hour then started creaking again around 8am, possibly cleaners store room. Therefore no sleep from 7am which after a late night wedding was not the best start to the day. When paying approx £160 for a room, you expect it to be relaxing. Breakfast was excellent with good choice and lovely staff.
Disliked: The noisy creaky floorboards in the room above.

Liked: We liked being able to use the swimming pool.The house has many grand features but looks a little tired in places.Loved the complimentary goodies in the room.Breakfast was great, served in the lovely dining room.
Disliked: Our room was tiny .. just enough space to get round the bed! And it faced on to a wall .. not the view we'd hoped for.Staff at pool expected us to have booked swims; staff at reception told us there was no need to book. It would have been good to be told in advance of arriving that we would need to book dinner; there was a function in the hotel so we had to eat much later than we would have chosen.

Very disappointing for the cost.

Liked: The staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast choices very good.
Disliked: The room was very small as was the bed, not even a double. The room had a sloping roof that we banged our head on constantly. The bathroom had nowhere to store toiletries which we had to place in the floor. A shelf would have been helpful.Not value for money at all having stayed at numerous hotels far superior for less money.

Liked: The staff, the dinner, and the bed. All were beyond expectations.
Disliked: The bar wasn’t well stocked and nowhere to get snacks after 8ish.

Liked: The staff were very attentive, helpful, and friendly. The best staff I have had the pleasure to meet, from reception, bar, dining, to breakfast during my visits to any hotel. Thanks
