Disliked: No elevators, all stairs and breakfast delivery was done at night so milk and dairy products are warm in the morning

Liked: Large comfortable room. Close to centre of Edinburgh. Very friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast. Magnificent 19th century building. Good value for money.

Exceptional

Liked: Its really great location, not too far from Calton hill, so be prepared to climb up and down:) Very beautiful decor, I played piano sigh reading from the book of Bethoveen sonatas, I found there. Really clean and bed is super comfy. There is a bath tub too, just perfect!
Disliked: The only thing, that really disturbed my peace, was the extremely loud ventilator, that was turning on automatically at the neighbours bathroom upstairs, due to them showering really late. Maybe it was only above my room, but it felt like a hoover or loud tumble dryer just above my head.

Great location and would certainly...

Liked: Great location, calm and quiet. Nice big rooms.
Disliked: I didn’t like the breakfast set up . A good idea to pre- order but the milk was warm the yoghurt was warm as left outside the room for an hour or two. It was not satisfying eating cereal with tiny wooden spoon . I feel better if large fridge in dining room with bfast bags put in there for people to collect and recycling receptacle for appropriate bits and bobs.

Ideal location, beautiful building

Liked: Very clean and not too far from town.
Disliked: There are a lot of stairs up to the 3rd floor with no lift. Not suitable for physically disabled. A little disappointing no cooked breakfast option.

Liked: The main staff were lovely, Radik and his wife were very helpful.
Disliked: The shower, the water pressure is quite low.
